SurfAid International Vacancy : Field Manager (Nias Base)

Surf aid International is an International NGO that was created in 1999 to respond the needs of communities in a professional, transparent and community empowering way. SurfAid is now engaged in public health and Emergency preparedness program work in Mentawai and Nias, Sumatra.

We are seeking a dedicated and professional person to fill full time position: FIELD MANAGER (Nias Base)

Job description
1. Coordinate with Program Manager (PM) in attaining
the objectives and expected outcomes of SAI program;
2. Lead and manage field staff to ensure program
objectives and activities are carried out in a timely
manner;
3. Lead and manage field staff in the identification
and solving of community health needs;
4. Coordinate the planning, activities, monitoring and
evaluation in accordance with the programs objectives
and indicators;
5. Coordinate and assist the Field Monitoring Officer
to ensure all data is collected from SCFs and CFs in a
timely manner.
6. Assist PM in the supervision of all programmatic
staff;
7. Make monthly program report & assist in annual
report;
8. Make visits to the project area to ensure program
quality;
9. Provide mentoring and evaluate the performance of
field staff;
10. Assist in the coordination with government
agencies in relation to program activities;
11. Coordinate with local partners or other NGO in
implementation of program activities;
12. Coordinate with Training Units in producing
reading materials & equipments needed every
intervention
13. Provide timely feedback and possible solutions to
PM on program activities & issues;

Min 8 years previous work experience; University
degree in a relevant field; The candidate must also
possess an attention to detail, ability to follow
financial procedures, meet deadlines, and work
independently and cooperatively with staff and
executives , High levels of professionalism and
motivation required, Sstrong administration, Strong
computer skills with specific expertise with Microsoft
Word and Excel project management, supervisory and
representation skills, Fluency in written and spoken
English Preferred: Medical, nutritional and/or public
health experience preferred, Fluency in Bahasa Nias
