operating in more than 60 countries. In Indonesia our main programs
include Flood mitigation, Shelter and Livelihoods with our Field Office based
in Banda Aceh, and further sub-offices in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Padang.
Muslim Aid Yogyakarta is currently looking for a qualified and committed
candidate to fill the following position:
1. Position title: Drafter – JRF Programme
Duty Station: Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Classification: Muslim Aid seconded staff
General functions:
Under the overall
supervision of the JRF Project Manager and direct supervision of the Construction
Coordinator, he/she will be responsible for technical drawing Civil, Architect
and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) aspects for JRF programme. In
particular the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
1. Assist the
Construction Coordinator in providing technical drawing activities, working
closely with other IOM’s construction unit and representatives.
2. Monitor
the design process, against the agreed on construction time frame with other
IOM’s construction unit.
3. Provide detailed
engineering “shop drawing” and “as built drawing” for Civil, Architect and
Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing (MEP) and coordinate with Quantity Surveyor in
providing actual volume in Bill of Quantity (BoQ).
4. Provide
advice whether comply with Indonesian building standards.
5. Working
with Site Supervisors to ensure civil, architect and MEP design drawing meet
the Indonesian construction standards, regulations and building approvals.
6. Assist
the Construction Coordinator to ensure the design equivalent with IOM standards
and the community recommendations.
7. Provide
technical expertise in reviewing civil, architect and MEP designs and drawings
for quality and efficiency.
8. Perform
other duties as may be assigned by Construction coordinator and Project Manager.
Desirable
Qualifications:
* University degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or Architecture or MEP or any field related to construction and design drawing, or alternatively, combination of related education and professional experience,
* Previous experience in building construction and design work
* Ability to prepare quickly concise reports and input database
* Computer literate (Auto-CAD, 3D, word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail exchange)
* Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking, and punctual.
* Able to work during weekends and overtime.
* Able to work under pressure and target
* Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in team situations.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Fluency in Javanese is required, English ability is advantageous.
2. Position title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) –
JRF Programme
Duty Station: Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Classification: Muslim Aid seconded staff
General functions:
Under the overall
supervision of the JRF Project Manager and direct supervision of the Construction
Coordinator, he/she will be responsible for technical drawing Civil, Architect
and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) aspects for JRF programme. In
particular the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
1. Assist
the Construction Coordinator in providing “Owner Estimate Unit Prize Analyze”.
2. Assist
the Construction Coordinator in providing “Owner Estimate Bill of Quantity
(BoQ)”.
3. Provide
and update market’s material prize list for BoQ needs.
4. Assist
the Construction Coordinator in preparing “Tender Document”.
5. Maintain
accurate records of weekly progress report by using IOM standard construction
monitoring tools and ensure that all data is entered into the construction
database. Weekly reports will be provided to the IOM construction coordinator.
Weekly reports and input for the project regular reports are necessary.
6. Monitor
the design process and material specification, against the agreed on construction
time frame with other IOM’s construction unit.
7. Coordinate
with Drafter in providing actual volume in Bill of Quantity (BoQ).
8. Provide
advice whether comply with Indonesian building standards.
9. Working
with Site Supervisors to ensure civil, architect and MEP design drawing meet
