TITLE: COUNTRY DIRECTOR
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Supervisor: Regional Coordinator, IMC Washington
Duration: Three months (immediate) with possibility of extension

Role
The Country Director will oversee IMC Indonesia's country programs, in
order to ensure effective programming and to expand IMC's presence
in-country. There will be a heavy emphasis in this position on program
development and resource mobilisation.

Duties
The selected candidate will:
• Mobilise resources to expand IMC programming in Indonesia by
identifying donors, designing new program initiatives, preparing
proposals, and liaising between field, Headquarters, and donors
• Implement, monitor and report on all country programs
• Recruit, manage and motivate highly independent, self-directed staff
members
• Prepare and administer program budgets and evaluate financial
program effectiveness
• Liaise with local and regional officials, UN and NGO agencies in
promotion of planning, coordination, and support for existing IMC
projects, as well as developing new programs
• Oversee project logistics, finance and administrative support
• Frequently travel to field sites (primarily but not exclusively to
South Sulawesi and West Java) to supervise and monitor program activities
• Actively prioritize standards for monitoring and evaluation
• Ensure compliance with IMC policies and procedures, as well as
Government of Indonesia and donor rules and regulations.

Skills and Attributes
1. Graduate degree, preferably in Public Health, Public Policy, or
related field
2. 5+ years of field experience in humanitarian relief or development
programs focused on primary health care and public health in insecure
settings
3. Knowledge of donor practices, program proposal process, and
humanitarian or development program solicitations and applications (in
the Indonesia context would be an asset)
4. Familiarity with international humanitarian operations,
coordination structures, and the mandates of donors, UN agencies, and
other NGOs
5. Ability to conduct and supervise new program assessments and write
cogent proposals and budgets
6. Fluency in written and spoken English and strong written and oral
communication skills
7. Ability to analyze
8. Proven organization, management and supervisory skills
9. Knowledge of and experience in Indonesia or Southeast Asia preferred.
